Rent The Hilton House For The Summer
If you've got $400,000 to spare you can spend the summer in the Hamptons, Paris-Hilton style. A home in Water Mill, New York belonging to Rick Hilton, Paris Hilton's father, is up for rent this summer. According to Newsday, the Hiltons are asking for $400,000 for the Memorial Day-to-Labor Day season. The 10,000-square-foot traditional-style home has six bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms and a freeform heated pool. The house is on 2.7 acres of hedged property. But before you get out your checkbook, you might want to check out a few stories that have appeared about the home in 2007. Apparently the renters that year weren't too pleased with the accommodations. The Real Estalker revealed that the home, which then rented for around $350,000 was said to be in shabby condition. The home also rented out in 2008 but no further tales of woe surfaced.
The home is located conveniently near Southampton Village and has deeded ocean access. I've located what appears to be the listing which shows a large living room with fireplace and French doors, a formal dining room, multiple dens and a rather fussy and floral decorating style.
