Porsche 911 Black Edition
Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

What's even better than getting a limited edition sportscar? Getting a limited edition sportscar and saving money on it in the process. That's the compelling case Porsche is making with the 911 Black Edition.
As the name implies, the special 911 is available only in black (two shades of it, actually), with a black leather interior, black brake calipers and a black cloth roof on the convertible (buyers can choose from coupe or cabriolet).
But beyond that, the Black Edition comes with extra features that would otherwise come as options – things like Bose surround sound system, GPS satellite navigation and XM radio – worth about $6,000 if specified on a standard 911, but included in the $81,300/$91,300 MSRP for the coupe or convertible Black Edition. Which makes it a great deal, and an exclusive one at that, with only 1,911 examples to be built worldwide, of which about a third are heading to the U.S.
