Hotel Package Offers Traditional Costume For Oktoberfest
Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels
If you are going to celebrate Oktoberfest in Munich why not go all the way and dress for the occasion. The Rocco Forte Collection's The Charles Hotel in Munich has a "Dressed for Oktoberfest" program that includes your own dirndl (men, you'll have to find the lederhosen on your own). To celebrate the festival, the hotel has teamed up with Schatzi Dirndl, one of Munich's leading traditional designers, to create custom-made Bavarian dirndls for guests. The package includes two nights or more in one of the rooms or suites, a buffet breakfast included at Davvero, welcome drink at the bar, a Bavarian amenity in your room upon arrival and of course, the dirndl. The program runs from September 18 through October 3 and rates start at 815 euros. The Charles Hotel is located close to the historic square of Königsplatz, the old town and the local shopping area. It features original paintings by Munich's celebrated 19th century artist Franz von Lenbach in the public areas, as well as in the Monforte Suite. The Oktoberfest 2010 will take place from September 18 to October 4. Millions attend every year, enjoying the huge beer tents and the traditional food including potato pancakes, wursts, sauerkraut and other hearty fare.
