Nan Goldin Sells Her Treasures
Julian Schnabel and Annie Leibovitz aren't the only artists selling their goods. The Telegraph has the story of talented photographer Nan Goldin whose cabinet of curiosities is on sale today at Christie's Paris. She is selling off 40 artifacts including skulls, Virgin Mary figures and even a vitrine of a Siamese twin lamb which Goldin says is one of the hardest things to part with. Goldin seems to have amassed quite the collection, the things she is selling represent just a portion of her large eccentric gathering of objects. Some of Goldin's famous photographs are also part of the sale. She says she's absolutely broke and describes the pieces up for sale as "beloved friends."
