This speaker system from Morel is part of the Israel-based company's foray into the consumer market.The Morel Applause MKII SoundSpot 5.1 Speaker System is the company's top-of-the-line system for home theaters. The SA-2 Satellite Speakers weight under three pounds each and are seven inches tall. There is a four-inch mid/bass unit with a little soft-dome tweeter on top and the speakers use neodymium magnets. The speakers can handle 120 watts of sound. The speakers are set on circular mounting plates that can either be screwed onto a wall, placed on a suitable flat surface, or mounted on the speaker stands. There is a SoundSub 9 100-watt powered subwoofer that has a 20-inch diameter with a curved black MDF enclosure. The speakers require 40 hours of "break-in" time in order to hit maximum performance. The set includes five SA-2 satellite speakers, SoundSub 9 subwoofer, two speaker stands, subwoofer speaker stand, subwoofer wall/ceiling connection bracket and user's manual. It's an Amazon exclusive and sells for $2,599 and it also comes in white which makes the speakers look a bit like badly-proportioned snowmen.
