Scarlett Johansson's New Moet Poses

When Scarlett Johansson was named as the face of Moet & Chandon in 2009 she posed in a golden gown. Images from the 2011 campaign have been released which show the effervescent blonde in posed on a ladder in a robin's egg blue evening gown surrounded by champagne flutes. The images shot by photographer Tim Walker were taken at Trianon, an impressive residence built by Jean-Rémy's Moët between 1805-1817 on the Moët & Chandon Estate in Epernay, France. The campaign consists of three photographs which will be used in print, outdoor and online advertising.

Golden Jeroboam from Moet & Chandon

If you're looking for a way to make a real impression at your next party, pulling out a Jeroboam of Moet & Chandon champagne is a sure way to get attention. But for the truly extroverted, the French masters of the bubbly have now announced an even more impressive presentation.

Released ahead of the holiday season, Moet's Golden Jeroboam is dressed in authentic gold leaf by Parisian jeweler Arthus Bertrand, and packs three liters – equivalent to a Double Magnum – of the finest sparkling wine.

Representing the year of the vineyard's founding, only 1743 examples will be offered, each fetching a handsome €800 ($1045).

Moet & Chandon Launches "Buckets of Bubbles"

Famed French champagne house Moët & Chandon has come out with a cool new traveling set called Buckets of Bubbles (above). The set includes four mini champagne flutes accompanied by four mini bottles of refreshing Moët & Chandon Nectar Impérial bubbly in a chic carrying case that doubles as an ice bucket. Unlike some special champagne sets which charge a premium for the privilege, Buckets of Bubbles is actually something of a bargain. It retails for approximately $34.99 but offers the equivalent amount of champagne as a 750 ml bottle of Nectar Imperial, which retails for $49.99 and doesn't include the trimmings. Moët & Chandon, founded in 1743, is one of the cornerstones of LVMH's luxury empire.

What's more beautiful than a bottle of champagne? A gold bottle of champagne.

Here at right is Moët & Chandon's newest luxury: A limited edition, gold-cased bottle of Midnight Gold, an Imperial Crude Moët & Chandon signed by French designer Camille Toupet.

The case is gold lambskin with Swarovski crystals and gilded pearls to simulate champagne bubbles. The "neck tie" at the top of the bottle can be removed and worn as a bracelet.

The Classicist: LVMH's Distinctive Vintages

French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH is best known for its marquee property Louis Vuitton, but the company has also amassed the world's most amazing collection of top-class wine and spirits brands under its Moët Hennessy group. The incomparable portfolio is celebrated in a suitably lavish new book called Distinctive Vintages ($200, right) just out from Flammarion.

Moët Hennessy owns too many luxury brands to list, but to name a few: Hennessy Cognac; Moët & Chandon, luxe Dom Pérignon, Krug and Veuve Clicquot champagnes; Belvedere and Chopin vodkas; Glenmorangie and deliciously smoky Ardbeg single malt Scotch whiskies; and the famed Chateau d'Yquem wine, synonymous with the finest money can buy.

The book focuses on the collection of fine French wines and spirits, personified in three regions that are "as noble as they are prestigious": Cognac, the ancestral birthplace of Hennessy; Champagne, home Dom Pérignon and its confreres; and Bordeaux, graced by the magical Château d'Yquem. It offers both a practical guide to the three regions as well as an explanation of the different vintages and results produced by the famed houses.
