Tiny Little Chairs - To Be Worn Around Your Neck

I absolutely love modern furniture. The design, use of material, and the pursuit of innovative ideas all combine together to make understated yet elegant timeless pieces of furniture. I wish I could say that I'm an avid collector of original modern pieces but my budget doesn't allow for that. And so I'm left with drooling over my most sought after pieces, buying the occasional book about modern furniture and learning more about these legendary designers.
While browsing through NY Times Magazine Blog, I found Tiny Little Chairs. Design duo and brothers, Oli and Mer VanRoost, head up Bruxe Design, a Montreal based design firm, that creates handcrafted little replicas of iconic modern furniture as jewelry. Although the names of the charms do not coincide with the furniture's actual name, it is more than obvious where they found their inspiration. Available in gold, sterling silver and bronze, you can satisfy your modern furniture taste-buds and select from the Bent, Dining, Pavilion, Scoop or Work Chair. Measuring at about a quarter of an inch high, prices range from $140 to $1600 and can be purchased with or without a chain.
