Project Kahn McLaren SLR Carbon

Luxist readers will be familiar with the ultra-luxe customized Rolls-Royce motorcars made by bespoke British auto conversions house Project Kahn, such as the White Pearl Phantom and Drophead Coupe we wrote about previously. Now they've announced their newest model, the McLaren SLR Carbon. Based on the amazing Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR supercar, Project Kahn's version adds "stealth" exterior styling and carbon fiber features making it even more exclusive. Bonnet vents and badges blended black and smoked rear lights augment the stealth aspect, as does the privacy tinted glass. Kahn carbon F1-X wheels, a combination of carbon fiber with light magnesium alloy and Kahn valve caps complete the look. Inside a high gloss piano black or carbon fiber finish steering wheel complements front seats, door panels and dashboard finished in full beautiful Nappa leather or Alcantara.

$100 For A Chance To Win A Mercedes McLaren

raffle ticketWhich would you rather have, a Mercedes SLR McLaren or $300,000? For just $100 you may win the chance to make that decision. The Pohanka Automotive Group in Salisbury, MD is auctioning off the rare car for a good cause. The car retails for around $465,000. Pohanka will sell 5,000 tickets at $100 each. Most of the money will pay for the car, but the remaining cash will be donated to Toys for Tots. So far they have sold more than half of the tickets. The car can't be registered in several states and gets just 17 miles to the gallon so for those who are more practical, the winner can also choose the $300,000 cash if they prefer. The deadline is December 10 and you don't have to be local to play.

Producer To Destroy His Own Carrera GT For Movie

The announcement of a new movie starring Eddie Griffin isn't usually exciting news but this may be the first one that I have heard about whether the producer offers up his own cars for the action scenes. "Redline" will be an auto thriller that will include the personal car collection of the producer, real estate investor Daniel Sadek. Sadek who is financing the $26 million movie will be using his own cars including a Phantom, Lamborghini Murcielago, Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ferrari Scaglietti and two Mercedes McLarens. Sadek's $200,000 Porsche Carrera GT will be crashed during one sequence. Perhaps he should hire Stefan Eriksson as a stunt driver.

Stefan Eriksson Loses Another Car

The story of the epic Enzo crash on Pacific Coast Highway just gets more and more interesting. The latest episode involves the wife of Stefan Eriksson, the former Gizmondo boss who took the Ferrari for its ill-fated spin. The LA Times says that Nicole Persson was stopped by Beverly Hills police along Wilshire Blvd. driving Eriksson's Mercedes SLR McLaren. The car had British plates but no tags and Persson did not have a valid driver's license. The car was impounded. As we mentioned earlier, it seems that both the Ferrari and the McLaren may belong to a bank in Scotland and Eriksson shipped the cars to the U.S. to avoid surrendering them. The picture here was taken by 13-year-old Spyder Dobrofsky who was on the scene at the time of the traffic stop.
