Starbucks Unveils $599 Espresso Machine

Bryant Simon, author of the upcoming book Consuming Starbucks, believes that your daily fix of Starbucks coffee is a gift you give yourself. And the more expensive the gift, the more you love yourself. With high hopes that you love yourself very much, Starbucks has introduced their new Sirena espresso maker. Co-developed with BMW's design team, this machine isn't the most expensive Starbucks offers, but it will set you back a hefty $599. Available at 2,100 suburban Starbucks stores as well as online, the Sirena features the Rapid Steam Boiler system and a commercial quality portafilter with an adapter that adjusts to the coffee's grind. At 15" tall, it is small enough to fit nicely on your counter and promises to produce the perfect shot of espresso every single time.
