Lindley Hall, Estate of the Day

Another Warren and Wetmore masterpiece in Tuxedo Park, New York, Lindley Hall has one of the most beautiful sun rooms I have ever seen. The home was originally built for Henry Whitney Munroe and was purchased in 1926 by Clara Hill Lindley, sister of Ruth Hill Beard, who built another famous Tuxedo Park Chateau, Chastellux. The Louis XIIII style chateau has views of the lake and mountains and is full of large ornate rooms with heavy fireplaces, wood paneling and marble floors. The pictures aren't great and I suspect it's in need of some renovation but those curved doorways and moldings are amazing. It is listed at $6.75 million.
