The Lauren Merkin Lucy Tile Clutch is picnic perfect, in an almost-gingham pattern (it's embossed leather).This summery little pink clutch goes sweetly with almost any color. We'd especially love to see it paired with blues or gray, and any fabric from denim to silk.
The elegant, neatly folded shape of this bag is accented by its boxy closure, and with no hardware visible, it almost looks more like a work of origami art than a handbag.
What really makes this bag special is the way that the embossed squares take the harshness away from the pink. This bag could easily have been a Pepto Bismol-esque disaster reminiscent of bridesmaid attire, but the tile pattern makes it understated and classy. Well done, Lauren Merkin.
