Triple Header Celebrity Spotting: Bruce Willis, LaToya Jackson, Keyshawn Johnson

Celebrity spotting is nothing new for Angelenos, who are used to seeing Pamela Anderson squeeze the oranges at the Ralph's and know which Starbucks Pierce Brosnan hits each morning. Ah, we are an inured lot.

But having a triple-header celebrity spotting makes news. And we have heard reliably that while LaToya Jackson and her business manager were spending about an hour touring units at the hot new Carlyle on Wilshire building, who shows up wanting a look-see too but retired NFL receiver Keyshawn Johnson. Not enough celebrity wattage for you? Into this scene, walks mega-star Bruce Willis, who already owns a unit in the building. Our spies say Willis was in the lobby but came out to shake hands. How's that for a welcome to the neighborhood?

Coldwell Banker agent Valerie Fitzgerald, in charge of sales for the building, wasn't talking, but she did note that Carlyle resident Larry King and wife Shawn will be attending her holiday party at the building this weekend with Shawn expected to entertain the 250 attendees with a song.

Larry King Going Live at the Carlyle

Famed CNN TV talk show host Larry King and his wife Shawn King have bought a unit in the Carlyle on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Units similar to the one bought by the Kings have been selling in the $3.5 million to $5.6 million range. The Carlyle Residences is the last permitted high-rise to be built along the famed Wilshire Corridor's "Golden Mile." King attended the recent grand opening of the property, which was developed by Elad Properties, the owner and developer of the Plaza Hotel in New York. The unit that the Kings purchased will function as a second home. They are not selling their Beverly Hills primary residence but are expected to use their new apartment to house guests, including extended family members.

The Kings' unit has three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms; 11-foot ceilings; his-and-her bathrooms off the master suite. Each of the 78 private residences in the building has a private elevator. The building's amenities include a 24-hour valet, doorman and concierge service. The 24-story crescent-shaped building has a private wine cellar. Larry King Live, the first worldwide phone-in TV talk show, debuted on CNN in June 1985. Larry King has been called the "master of the mike" by Time Magazine. Valerie Fitzgerald of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills, is the head of sales for the Carlyle project.

Larry King To Perform At Steve Wynn's Casino

Larry King, comedian? According to casino owner Steve Wynn, the host of CNN's Larry King Live is a very funny guy. Wynn dared King to take his act to the Vegas stage. He will perform for one night at Wynn's Theater on June 19 at 8 p.m. He will perform an act telling stories from some of his interviews and experiences. The performance will benefit his charity, the Larry King Cardiac Foundation, which provides funds for cardiac procedures for individuals who would be otherwise unable to receive necessary care. King's wife, Shawn, a country singer, will be the opening act. Tickets are on sale for $59, $69 and $79.
