La Cornue CornuFé Stove
The brand new CornuFé Stove from La Cornue is not quite in the same ballpark as the high-end appliance maker's Grand Palais stove because, unlike the Grand Palais, the CornuFé is not entirely handmade. Instead, it makes use of some new innovations in the technology of La Cornue manufacturing and is finished by hand. This means that the wait for a piece is not nearly as long as it has been in the past - and the quality of the performance is still top-notch, making this a great choice for the avid home cook. The professional-style appliance has a 5-burner cooktop with a 17,500 BTU burner, three 12,000 BTU burners and a "simmer" burner with a variable BTU. There are twin electric convection ovens beneath the stovetop, each of which has two oven racks, and there is a wide range of finishes to choose from. "White Glove Delivery" is an extra $1,000, and includes installation. Price: $8,000.
