Former tennis star Jennifer Capriati's home in Wesley Chapel, Florida is listed for $ 2.1 million.

--Beck has finally sold his Malibu home which was once listed as high as $2.399 million. It sold for $1.65 million (he bought the home for $2.050 million in 2007). His Hancock Park home which was once listed as high as $9 million is listed in a pocket listing. He bought the home for $6.75 million in 2007 and will likely take a loss on it.

Designer Kelly Wearstler and property developer Brad Korzen may be listing their Hillcrest estate in Beverly Hills. Rumor has it that it could be listed at $50 million. The property website is here.

How low can she go? Philanthropist and art collector Audrey Irmas has reduced the price on her Holmby Hills mansion, from $25 million to $16.9 million and now to $14.9 million. The property website is here.

Technology entrepreneur and philanthropist David Bohnett has listed his exquisitely restored Holmby Hills estate for $18.9 million. The home was designed in 1955 for Gary Cooper. The property website is here.

--Commercial real estate giant John C. Cushman III and his wife, Jeanine, have sold their Monterey Colonial-style home in Pasadena for $3.25 million.

Pickard China, Celebrating American Tradition

Pickard China, an American classic, has been nominated for a Luxist Award in the category of best dishware.

The story of the Pickard China company began in 1893 when Wilder Pickard established the company in Edgerton, Wisconsin. Later the company moved to Chicago. It specialized in hand-painted art pieces and tea sets. Artists from the Art Institute of Chicago and all over Europe came to Chicago to decorate unique ceramic pieces which are now prized among collectors.

Wilder's son, Austin Pickard, moved the company to its present Antioch, Illinois location in 1930 and introduced the white china with the lion trademark that the company is known for today. Pieces are still made in the Pickard factory in Antioch. Each piece passes through a minimum of 21 stages and three inspections. Patterns are decorated with 24K gold, pure platinum and brilliant cobalt. In 1977, Pickard, Incorporated was selected by the U.S. State Department to manufacture the official china service used by our embassies and other diplomatic missions around the world. Pickard has also been commissioned to produce custom china for Air Force One, Blair House and Camp David and has produced china services for the King of Saudi Arabia, Hilton, Sheraton, and Marriott hotels, General Motors, the U.S. Air Force and the Queen of England.

Continuing to evolve with today's tastes, Pickard makes four modern designs created by star decorator Kelly Wearstler. The Kelly Wearstler for Pickard collection boasts a mélange of styles and patterns ranging from organic to graphic, traditional to modern and delicate to bold. Pickard also produces for patterns for designer and home decor author Charlotte Moss. The company also offers custom china and monogrammed pieces, carrying on a proud American tradition of fine dishware.

The Kelly Wearstler Collection

Kelly Wearstler's collection of home decor items available from Bergdorf Goodman includes quite the interesting set of goodies. Her taste is contemporary, classic, and simple, done in basic shapes and even more basic colors (everything is in shades of black, white, gold, and silver). Her creations are open to many different moods but there's a definite cheerfulness present, especially in pieces like the Kaleidoscope, Confetti Bowl, and Deco Dots Box. My favorite is the Large Golden Egg, I think because it's just a little lumpy looking and slight off-kilter. What can I say, I always love the oddballs!
