Jimmy Choo Cristina Pleated Leather Bag, Handbag of the Day

Jimmy Choo Cristina Pleated Leather Handbag
This Cristina Pleated Leather Shoulder Bag by Jimmy Choo pairs earthy, seasonal tones (they actually look a little fall-ish to me) with leather pleats in a bold mix of patterns and solids. Other accents include a detachable silvertone chain handle, studs down one side and under the flap, and large eyelet/whipstich detail along the bottom. It also has a prominently displayed (albeit small) logo plaque, internal zip pocket, and an interior fully lined in pretty pale beige satin. And maybe it's just me but it looks smaller here than it actually is, measuring 10" x 8" x 3". $2,995

Jimmy Choo Zap Sandals with 'Light Up Detail'

Jimmy Choo Zap Light Up SandalsAt first glance this strappy Jimmy Choo doesn't look all that special, but underneath all that shiny black leather and trendy color block accents is something you'd never guess: a tiny electric switch and lights. Yes, lights.

Now it's a shoe fit for a superhero.

The Zap Sandal will be available sometime this spring (although you can pre-order them now) and is made of patent leather and suede with a chunky platform, 5.1" heel, and 'light up detail' that is sure to make every step unforgettable.

I just love it, although I really want to know exactly where it lights up -- if anyone finds out let me know in the comments. $2,495

Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Shoulder BagThe Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Shoulder Bag is a sexy new Choo offering with a glamorous rock-and-roll edge.

This shoulder bag is crafted from woven and pieced together black metallic leather and soft suede, for a highly textured, I'm-cooler-than-your-average-fringe-wearing-hippie look. Speaking of the fringe, it drops a full seven inches, balancing the seven inch drop double shoulder handles. Keep an eye on the car door.

We love the bright silver hardware, which makes the black look blacker, and the way the chains balance the sleek logo plate at the bottom. The 16"W X 14"H X 2½"D bag is lined in a pale caramel suede and includes two zipper pockets and an open pocket.

This is one of those rare larger bags that dresses up well, so for your straight-from-work-to-play days, the Tatum Fringe is ideal.

The Jimmy Choo Tatum Fringe Shoulder Bag is available from Saks Fifth Avenue for $2,695.

Jimmy Choo Sky L Suede Hobo, Handbag of the Day

suede handbag
Casual yet refined, this soft and inviting handbag can partner with any monochromatic outfit (I'm thinking a fabulous pair of jeans and a crisp white shirt) adding a rich and rustic feel instantly. Jimmy Choo's Sky L Suede Hobo hugs your frame making it an easy carryall for your daily activities. Boho chic but not overdone the brown snakeskin handle and stitch detailing along the sides make this hobo a standout for $1,495. Gold-tone hardware, a fully lined interior with zipper pocket, top zip closure and designer-embossed plaque on the front add the final touches. (17" x 6" x 5" with 4" handle drop)

Jimmy Choo Does Sneakers

Jimmy Choo is taking things down a notch, literally, from sky-high stilettos to flat sneakers and trainers. The stilettos and heels aren't going anywhere, of course, but 8 sneaker designs made an unexpected appearance in amongst the towering sandals and boots of Jimmy Choo's pre-fall 2010 collection. Very urban glam, the shoes are mostly suede and snakeskin and feature both low-top and high-top versions. Expected to go over well with fashion experts and the public, it's great to see a designer stretching into new areas. £295-£395

Jimmy Choo Mandah Medium Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

leather handbag
Any bag that does double the duty becomes a must-have for most women. Take the Jimmy Choo Mandah Medium Shoulder Bag for instance -- a compact teal calf leather and suede handbag expands to reveal a Swarovski crystal, gold- and silver-tone stud-embellished panel offering more space within to suit your growing needs throughout the day. Why not take the understated day bag and convert it into a fabulous evening bag with the flip of a zip! The interior boasts four pouch pockets lined in caramel suede and the entire bag can be shut with a magnetic snap-closure fastening. For $2,495 don't worry about not having enough room for everything you want to carry.

Jimmy Choo Ina Nappa Leather Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Jimmy Choo Ina Nappa Leather Clutch Handbag
I have to admit, this Ina Nappa Leather Clutch by Jimmy Choo makes me laugh. Which is strange because I don't necessarily dislike it. I think it's the combination of such a bright, almost flourescent, shade of yellow and all that fringe. It's the kind of bag that I'd love to hate but would still actually consider carrying. Nappa leather with silver-tone star embellishments gives it a happy, slightly whimsical vibe. Detachable sand-suede shoulder strap, sand suede lining, zip-top closure, and a fairly prominent logo plaque make this bag fun and versatile. $795

Jimmy Choo Bardia Buckled Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Jimmy Choo Bardia Buckled HoboThe Jimmy Choo Bardia Buckled Hobo is a sexy bag for day or night.

The second thing we noticed about the bag (first was the pretty goldtone buckles which give it its alluring shape) was the texture. This is shagreen-embossed calf leather.

What's "shagreen," you ask? It's a leather made from rough, untanned skin. If it looks familiar to you, it's probably because it's the same stuff you see on the hilts of swords and daggers (the texture is good for gripping). Now, this is just shagreen-embossed, but the roughness is definitely achieved, and the effect is a rugged elegance.

The Jimmy Choo Bardia Buckled Hobo is available for pre-order from Neiman Marcus for $1,695.00.

Jimmy Choo Martha Pony Skin Clutch, Handbag of the Day

clutch
Who doesn't like a clutch for its undeniable portability? Better yet, who doesn't like a expandable handbag of any size? For these two reasons I am cheering for Jimmy Choo's new Martha Pony Skin Clutch which couples portability with versatility in volume. Constructed of multi-colored pony skin and suede marked in the middle by an asymmetric gold-tone zipper, which reveals a little extra space, this clutch is smartly sassy easily converting from day to night. It also features a hidden magnetic closure on the flap, an internal pocket with zipper and a tan suede lining with lilac trim. It's functional expandability reminds me of Jimmy Choo's Middle Zip Hobo I covered earlier this year. (11" x 7" x 2") for $1,595
