Burger Joint Makes Jay Leno A Tasty Offer
Should "The Tonight Show" not work out for Jay Leno, one Michigan restaurant has a backup plan for him. Jaws Jumbo Burgers in Farmington Hills has offered Leno a franchise if his next run at NBC late night television ends up not being a success. Just to show that the company is serious it sent an offer to Leno's agent and NBC Universal and posted an ad in the Los Angeles Daily News offering him a Jaws franchise in Burbank, California or anywhere else. Jaws Jumbo Burgers has courting Leno for a long time. The Detroit News' Neil Rubin reports that when Leno was still hosting "The Tonight Show" the restaurant invited him in for a bite and even named the "Thank You Jay Leno" double-decker burger after him in honor of Leno's performance for out-of-work Michiganians last spring. Check out the video offer from Jaws after the jump. They make a pretty convincing argument.
