Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Cronógrafo Steel Watch
Seeking to revive an original Cuervo y Sobrinos watch design from the 1950s, the once Cuban, now Swiss brand will release this Historiador Cronografo watch in steel for 2011. The watch comes in a slick looking 40mm side steel case that while feeling retro, doesn't feel boring. This is thanks to the "exaggerated" lug structures. Using pomme style hands, the dial is pretty easy to read with its applied stylized hour markers and black face. A ring of red gives it a sporty appeal. The dial will alos be available in white.

The case has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 30 meters. It contains a Swiss made Dubois Depraz calibre 2099 automatic chronograph movement. While any actual connection to Cuba no longer exists with the brand, we can at least pretend right? Look for the Cuervo y Sobrinos Historiador Cronografo Steel watch soon.
