Jerome Dreyfuss Max Python Tote, Handbag of the Day

Jerome Dreyfuss makes practical bags that are both very wearable and fashion forward. His use of color and texture enhance his accessories resulting in a balance between being a statement bag that immediately grab your attention while remaining wearable for day to day use.

Even if the big bag trend is dying and lady like purses have become all the rage, I'm a woman that carries a multitude of items on any given day and would rather carry one large bag than several little bags. I appreciate Dreyfuss for still designing stylish large bags.

The latest Dreyfuss bag that I'm lusting over is his Emerald Green Python Tote ($3135). The color is vibrant and eye popping, yet it's not obnoxious and won't dominate your outfit. Python skin is beautiful on its own accord but is further enhanced in emerald green.

A roomy interior with a zip pocket will be more than sufficient for your belongings, but if you require additional space, Dreyfuss' Tote can become large by unzipping the sides and there are two exterior zippered pockets with a buckle strap accent. There are double python handles and a shoulder strap which is accented with rope for an unexpected detail.

Dolce & Gabbana Lace & Leather Top Handle Bag

Love the look of lace but find that wearing a lace top feels too trendy or revealing? Experiment with the trendy material with an accessory instead. Dolce & Gabbana's Lace & Leather Top Handle Bag ($2331) is feminine with a touch of sexy and romance. It captures the sophisticated sexiness of the 50's and 60's with a modern update. Styled in buttery soft jet black lambskin with black lace throughout, the lace adds texture and interest. There is a roomy interior with a zippered front flap pocket accented with two silver and gold medallion pulls. Measurements: 24cm H x 32 cm W x 16 cm D. Marc Jacobs Castoro Ash Satchel, Handbag of the Day

A frame satchel bag is such a gorgeous lady like bag. It posses a classic shape that allows for many items to be stored without any added bulkiness all the while looking oh so chic and modern – regardless of the era.

Marc Jacobs has taken the ever appealing and versatile frame satchel and transformed it into an ultra luxurious and perhaps a tad bit ostentatious accessory. I'm not sure what to make of this handbag. The Castoro Ash Satchel ($3,895) is fully covered in soft and supple beaver fur and is minimally accented with chocolate brown leather handles and flap with a touch of gold studs. The interior is lined with leather and offers a zipper pocket and other compartments.

While I admire the shape, size, colorway and minimally adornment, I would have loved to see this in leather or even brocade to create a more wearable bag.

Anya Hindmarch Maeve Embossed Bow Bag

A streamlined bag that is also roomy and beautiful? It's difficult to come by but Anya Hindmarch has created one that seems near perfect.

The Maeve Embossed Bow Bag ($618) is large enough to fit your belongings without being bulky and cumbersome. The fold over shoulder bag has an extra long shoulder strap allowing Maeve to be worn across your body and giving your hands a much needed break from clutching your bag to your body all day. The fully lined interior features a zipped and pouch pocket, pen pocket and key fob for organization.

Hindmarch's bow logo is embossed throughout and looks classic against a dark and rich navy blue hue. The Maeve would be ideal for everyday use. And to prevent you getting bored with your new chic and very wearable bag, there is a decorative single tassel to offer a playful touch.

It also has an exposed zip-top closure, a designer-embossed padlock and key hanging off one side, and a silk/twill lining. A stylish blend between a tote bag and a messenger bag for $1,560.

This Cristina Pleated Leather Shoulder Bag by Jimmy Choo pairs earthy, seasonal tones (they actually look a little fall-ish to me) with leather pleats in a bold mix of patterns and solids. It also has a prominently displayed (albeit small) logo plaque, internal zip pocket, and an interior fully lined in pretty pale beige satin.
