Kyboe Watches: Fun Fashion From The Netherlands

Coming in two large sizes of 48mm and 55mm wide, Kyboe, a Netherlands based watch brand offers very large sized fashion watches that comes in a ludicrous array of color combinations. Just visit their site to find the many, many color combos available of the "Giant watch." Although it comes in two sizes and many colors, the watch itself is basically the same design. A mixture of elements from various dive watches, the dial feels very Rolex Explorer in theme. The case is in steel, and inside the watch is a Japanese Miyota quartz movement. Strap is rubber, and the main allure is the fashionable fun associated with the large size and wild colors. Not sure how much the watches are available in the US yet, though they are in many parts of Europe and Asia. Probably coming to the US more as their size, cost, and image would likely work here. Price looks to be about $200. Look for them soon.

I think one of the biggest reasons I wanted to write this Matitoni Clothes and Hat Stand up is because not only is it hilariously huge, but it seems to go along with the over-sized Anglepoise 1227 lamp I posted on a few days ago. You could have the beginnings of a very interesting decorating scheme in your child's bedroom or playroom.

Made to order, this clothes stand is designed by Philippe Peyridieu and manufactured by Banal Extra. It's made of steel and is 180cm tall, and comes in the one color scheme shown here. £250

Giant Anglepoise 1227 Limited Edition Lamp

Whoa! That lamp from the Pixar movies has gone AWOL.

I would love to have one of these, and no it's not the PIxar lamp on a rampage. It's a special edition Giant 1227 Anglepoise Lamp in celebration of the 70th birthday of the original 1227 Anglepoise Lamp. This one is three times the size of the original and has an aluminum base, joints, arms, and fork. It comes with a halogen reflector bulb and castors with locks for easy (but safe) positioning. Black, £1,660.
