--Former NY Islander hockey player and longtime Carol Alt boyfriend, Alexei Yashin has but his mansion in Old Westbury, NY, shown above, on the market for $11 million. Yashin bought the six-bedroom home in 2002 for $3.877 million. The listing is here.
--The Kings Point estate of former New York City Mayor William R. Grace sold last week for $4.5 million.
--Architect Jay Lockett sold his family's waterfront property in Quogue to Randy and Bev Cardo for $2.15 million.

--Andrew Rayburn, entrepreneur and founder of Big Game Capital, has put his three-bedroom New York apartment on the market for $8.45 million. The listing is here.
--Andrew Cohen, a managing director at Dune Capital, and his wife Suzi paid $7.575 million for a four-bedroom apartment at 1120 Park Avenue.
--Art advisor Franck Giraud, who oversees GPS Partners with Philippe Segalot and Lionel Pissarro, paid $4.2 million for an apartment at 30 East 10th Street.
--Coburn Packard, a former senior VP at Lehman Brothers, and his wife Carrie paid $3 million for an apartment at 101 Warren Street.
--Peter Lusk, the former COO at Tony Forstmann's private equity firm Forstmann-Leff International, and his wife Jeanne, have sold their 15th-floor co-op at 1 East 66th Street for $7 million.
--Casino developer Richard Fields is selling his 38th-floor apartment at 15 Central Park West for $27 million.
--Hedge fund founder James Torrey and his wife, Rose Peabody Lynch, have gone into contract to sell their 23rd-floor apartment at 131 East 66th Street, which they originally listed for $14.5 million in October and dropped to $12.5 million a month later.
--Publishing entrepreneur and Democratic fundraiser Win McCormack has paid $8.7 million for a 12th-floor apartment at 170 East End Avenue.
--Former Lehman Brothers exec Marco Naldi sold his three-bedroom apartment (and accompanying storage unit) at 545 West 110th Street for $2.55 million to Verizon exec Shawn Strickland.
--Peter Kraus the ex-Merrill Banker, who collected $25 million for laboring at the bank from September until the end of the year, closed on the purchase of Carl Spielvogel and Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel's co-op at 720 Park last week for $36.63 million.
--Michael Waldorf, a senior vice president at John Paulson's Paulson & Co.has closed on an apartment at Riverhouse for $6.175 million.

--Singer Ray LaMontagne has picked up a 23-room estate in Ashfield, MA for $1.05 million.
From the LA Times Hot Property:
--A 4,100-square-foot house in Los Feliz that was once the home of actor Alan Ladd and his agent wife, Carol sold for $2.55 million, after being listed for $3.495 million.
--Rockstar CEO Russ Weiner has sold a Hollywood Hills home for $8 million. It was originally listed at $14.995 million. He still has another home on the market for $2.995 million.

--The home lived in by Sheree Whitfield of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently hit the market for $2.85 million. Her ex-husband Bob Whitfield, a former NFL player, owns the home. Listing pics can be found here.
--Film producer George Furla, who as we saw last week, has listed his Chicago penthouse for sale, also has a home in Los Angeles which has been on the market for nearly a year. It is listed at $2.295 million.
--Floyd Nathaniel Hills, better known as music producer Danja has picked up a new home on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles for $2.925 million.
--Nicole RIchie and Joel Madden are rumored to be renting a home in the Outpost Estates area in the Hollywood Hills for $6.500 a month.

--Basketball star Kwame Brown, who plays center for the Detroit Pistons and who played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2005 until early 2008 , has placed his four-bedroom house in Playa del Rey, Calif. on the market for $2.999 million which is far less than the $3.375 million he paid when he bought it in 2005. --"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane has paid $13.5 million for a Beverly Hills home that wasn't on the market.
--Husband-and-wife actor-directors Vondie Curtis-Hall and Kasi Lemmons have reduced the asking price of their Hollywood Hills home from $3.595 million to its current $2.669 million. The listing is here.
--Author Anne Rice has sold a four-bedroom house that she owned in Kenner, La. for $2.265 million.

--A manor house that's about half a millennium old and believed to be the former hunting lodge of Anne of Brittany, queen to two French kings, has gone on the market for $595,000 in the French region of Normandy.
--A mansion in Los Angeles' Bel Air neighborhood, once owned by a key film-production figure, has sold for $38 million making it one of the area's biggest sales of the year.
--Ken Duncan, president and chief executive of Web-based document-manager NetDocuments, has listed his Montana cattle ranch for $18 million. The listing is here.
Today I'm looking back at last year's celebrity real estate to see what homes have been on the market for six months or more...
--Fashion designer Kenzo's home in Paris is still on the market. It was our estate of the day in December 2007.
--Football star Terrell Owens has been trying to unload his Moorestown, New Jersey home for over a year. It was listed at $3.4 million which was reportedly $500,000 less than he bought it for. Now it's even more of a steal at $2.96 million. The listing is here.
--Burt Reynolds has had his Florida home on the market for over a year and keeps dropping the price. We'll check it out as the estate of the day later today.
--A home in London where JM Barrie is believed to have written Peter Pan is still on the market for £6.75 million the same price it was at when it was our estate of the day last January.
--How's this for a price reduction? Suzanne Somers's Palm Springs home was listed for $35 million this time last year when we covered it as an estate of the day. It's still on the market for a mere $14.9 million.
--Jermaine Dupri listed a five-bedroom home in Atlanta, Georgia for $1.5 million in February. It's still on the market but now at $1.6 million. The listing is here.
--Harvey Fierstein's Brewster, New York home is still listed at the same price for a year, $749,900.
--Tommy Hilfiger's home in Greenwich, Connecticut which was listed at $27.9 million when we looked at it last February as an estate of the day is now down to $21.995 million.
--Baseball player Bobby Abreu's New York apartment at One Beacon Court is still for sale for the same price since last March, we'll check it out as an estate of the day later this week.
--Many Palm Beach, Florida homes sold fast this year. That's not the case with the home belonging to Allman Brothers drummer, Claude "Butch" Trucks, his home received a price chop from $4.8 million to $3.995 million back in March and it still hasn't sold.
--In another case of a sports player trying to sell a home in a city he no longer plays for, NBA Jason Richardson is still trying to sell his Oakland, California home. It was listed at $3.1 million back in March, it's still on the market at $2.6 million.
--A Gold Beach, Oregon home that we covered in January of last year as an estate of the day belongs to actor Gregory Harrison. It has sat on the market for over a year at the same $5.9 million listing price.
--Comedian Chris Tucker has been trying to sell this home in Tarzana, California for $4.8 million since April when it was our estate of the day. It's still on the market for the same price.
--In April Richard Gere put his apartment in painter/director Julian Schnabel's Palazzo Chupi on the market for $17 million. It is still listed but now for $15 million (Gere bought in for $12 million).
--In May Kathleen Turner dropped the price on Amagansett, N.Y. home to $5.9 million from $6.995 million. It's stayed put for the rest of the year.
--Aaron Kamin of the band The Calling placed a three-bedroom house in Studio City on the market for $1,199,999 in May. It has since been reduced to $1.079 million.
--Willem Dafoe's rubber house which we covered as an estate of the day in June, remains on the market at $850,000.
