Aston Martin fully revealed its ultimate car, the One-77 today at the Geneva Motor Show. Aston Martins have always been special but the One-77 takes it to a whole new level. The 6.0L V12 found in more "pedestrian" Astons has been expanded out to 7.3L and the output is now in excess of 700 hp with a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Apparently the only thing not in excess for this very special sports car is the production volumes. Only 77 examples will be built with a price tag well in excess of $1 million! No word yet on whether Daniel Craig will have one available for the next James Bond outing.

Rolls-Royce 200EX Making its World Debut at the Geneva Motor Show

The newest addition to the Rolls-Royce model lineup still a year away from production but we'll be getting a preview in two weeks at the Geneva Motor Show. The car that until now has been referred to as the RR4 will appear as a concept called 200EX. When the production version of the 200EX hits the streets in 2010 it will be the fourth Rolls-Royce model since the company was reborn under BMW ownership in 2003. Compared to the Phantom saloon, the 200EX is about 18 inches shorter but it remains a big machine spanning 212.6 inches from bumper to bumper.

Rolls-Royce isn't revealing to many technical details yet but we do know that like the Phantom, the 200EX/RR4 will have V12 power. The new car will however get an all-new engine not shared with any other car. The new Roller retains the rear hinged coach (don't call them suicide) doors but its more modest size means this is likely to be more of a drivers car than the Phantom. As with any Rolls-Royce, the interior will be impeccably finished in the finest hides, wood veneers and fabrics. The final production version (and presumably its name) will debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Mercedes Tuner Brabus Debuts Half-Million-Dollar 700hp G-Wagen

With most cars on the market being replaced every five years or so, 30 years is an exceptionally long time for an automobile to carry on essentially as it was when it started out. So Mercedes has cause to celebrate with the three-decade anniversary of the iconic Gelandewagen, and aftermarket tuners are lining up to join the party. The latest is Mercedes tuner Brabus, which has just announced the launch of what could be its most radical model yet. And that's saying a lot for Brabus.

The Brabus G V12 S packs an enormous 6.3-liter twin-turbo V12 producing a mind-boggling 700 horsepower and nearly 1000 lb-ft of torque. Despite the enormous weight and boxy shape of the G-Wagen, this monster truck can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds and top over 150 mph. Brabus has also fitted custom wheels, body kit, LED lighting and an array of available in-cabin entertainment options, all for a price starting at 379,000 Euros (about $483,000), making it one of the most expensive, most capable and speediest sport-utilities on the market.

Engines range from a fuel-sipping four-cylinder turbo diesel all the way up to a tire-smoking 388-horsepower V8, with an even more powerful AMG version to follow, and with prices ranging from 44,684.50 all the way up to 66,045.00 Euros and beyond for the top-of-the-line E500 Coupe.

Maybach Revives Zeppelin Nameplate with Super-luxe Limo

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

maybach
In 1997, Mercedes-Benz entered the top echelon of the luxury market by reviving the long dormant Maybach brand. In the dozen years that have followed, Maybach hasn't quite matched the success of arch-rival BMW's Rolls-Royce division or the Volkswagen Group's Bentley asset, so at the upcoming Geneva Auto Salon, Maybach will reach into its history and pull another defunct luxury nameplate in the hope of attracting more customers.

Called the Zeppelin, the top-of-the-line Maybach trim level is based on the existing 57 S and 62 S models and upgrades on them with a series of extra special luxury touches. Exterior differentiations are kept to a minimum – largely restricted to darker wheels and tail-lamps – while inside the luxuriously appointed cabin, the Zeppelin gets special beige leather upholstery with contrasting black stitching, piano lacquer black trim, silver champagne flutes and a unique acrylic fragrance dispenser. The super-luxe Zeppelin will sell for €406,000 (about $525,000) in 57-decimeter length and €473,200 ($612,000) for the 62-decimeter model, and will be limited to 100 models...if they can manage to sell that many.
