Hotel Gansevoort NYC Opens Lacoste Boutique

During the week of November 22, 2010, a new Lacoste boutique will debut at the new Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC hotel on the corner of E. 29th Street and Park Avenue. The boutique will sell limited edition and co-branded clothing, among other premium merchandise.

The hotel's fashion partnership with Lacoste will also introduce crocodile-emblazoned signature uniforms for select GHG staff at multiple properties. Staff at Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC, Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC, and Gansevoort Turks + Caicos will don Lacoste seasonal uniforms distinctive to each hotel. The Gansevoort Park Avenue NYC and Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC employee ensembles will layer white, black, navy blue, and grey pieces composed of terry, nylon and the brand's iconic piqué cotton. Gansevoort Turks + Caicos staff uniforms will feature accessories and apparel in calypso blue and white.

Lacoste invited sculptor Joseph Conforti to craft a ceramic crocodile to be displayed at the hotel lobby entrance of its newest locale. T-shirts and polos bearing the Gansevoort signature "G" alongside Lacoste's embroidered crocodile will be sold exclusively at the boutique. The Fall 2010 assortment will also include limited edition items such as the Holiday Collector's Series Porcelain Polos commissioned by Chinese artist Li Xiaofeng and Peanuts 60th Anniversary special kid's polos.

Porsche Ferries Models Around at NY Fashion Week [video]

Some of the stunning models stalking the runways at New York Fashion Week are getting a free ride – literally – thanks to Porsche Cars North America. The famed German marque provided a fleet of chic 2011 Porsche Panameras and Porsche Cayennes to whisk the beauties from the tents at Lincoln Center to and from the Smartwater Model Lounge at the new Gansevoort Park Avenue South hotel. The Model Lounge is an exclusive retreat for female models at from top agencies where the girls can hang out in between castings, shoots, fittings and fashion shows and enjoy a number of stylish perks, plus the hotel's luxe amenities like its rooftop swimming pool and gym. Party with the Gansevoort Turks & Caicos On The Hotel's Anniversary

The hotel is marking its first anniversary with a weekend celebration including 15% off room rates. The Gansevoort Hotel brand is opening its first island resort officially next month: Gansevoort Turks & Caicos. The hotel is located along the western section of Grace Bay Beach on Providenciales. Gansevoort Turks & Caicos is a 91-room property built around the 7,000 square foot infinity-edge swimming pool which has "lounging islands" for daytime sunbathing or romantic nighttime candlelit canoodling.

The resort has a fitness center, Bagatelle restaurant and beach lounge and the Exhale spa. Packages start at $295 per night but for big spenders you can opt for the high roller package which includes a three-bedroom penthouse stay, daily continental breakfast, catamaran excursion, day of golf, two 60 min massages at Exhale Spa, a bottle of Dom Perignon and chocolate covered strawberries upon arrival and two monogrammed Gansevoort TC bathrobes starting at $2,500 per night.
