G-Power M5 Hurricane RR Claims Victory as World's Fastest Sedan
Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

While the likes of Bugatti, Shelby SuperCars and Koenigsegg battle it out for top honors with their 250+ mph supercars, another battle breaks out for the fastest four-door sedan. The latest to claim victory? The G-Power M5 Hurricane RR.
Based as it is on the outgoing BMW M5, the Hurricane starts off with the Bavarian automaker's award-winning V10 engine. Not enough, says G-Power, bolting a set of superchargers for an output in excess of 800 horsepower. With all that juice, G-Power claims a 231-mph top speed, hitting 60 in 4.35 seconds along the way. Of course those kinds of figures and bragging rights don't come cheap: G-Power charges nearly $72,000 for the upgrades on top of the M5's six-figure price tag.
