2009 Frankfurt Auto Show: Wiesmann MF5 Roadster
Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

Wiesmann is hardly your bread-and-butter automobile. The niche automaker makes strictly limited quantities of its roadster and coupe, so even in its home market of Germany seeing one is a rare sight. But this is likely the only time we'll ever see the MF5 Roadster, because they'll only be making 55 of them. And they hopefully won't all come in this rather bizarre white and red paint scheme.
The bodywork carries over from the standard Wiesmann Roadster, but the engine has been replaced with BMW's award-winning 5-liter V10, as seen in the M5 sedan and M6 coupe and convertible. In the tiny Wiesmann, the 507 horsepower is enough to drop the 0-60 time down below the four-second mark, which is one more reason you're not likely to see one sitting still. Another? The $300k price tag. So take your chance to see it now in our high-resolution photo gallery below.
