New Ferrari Flagship Grand Tourer Coming Soon

Ferrari is preparing to debut a new model this Friday. The car in question is set to replace the flagship 612 Scaglietti with a new "shooting brake" body-style and a 670-horsepower V12 engine with the reportedly possible addition of all-wheel drive, a Ferrari first.

The new model is set to be unveiled to select clientele the morning of Friday, January 21 before it gets its anticipated public debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. We'll be watching.

Money, they say, can't buy you happiness. That may be so, but it sure can buy you lots of things that will make you happy. Like a one-of-a-kind Ferrari named after you.

The latest product of Ferari's own customization program is called the 612 GTS Pavesi. It's based on the flagship 612 Scaglietti, and features a pair of removable carbon-fiber roof panels, unique two-tone paint scheme, a new front bumper, a custom exhaust system and a reported extra 20 horsepower for a total of 550.

The name of the owner hasn't been revealed, but Pavesi is the name of an Italian manufacturer of go-kart engines, so that's what our money's on. And plenty of his, apparently. Take a closer look in the pair of spy videos after the jump.

Ferrari 612 GTO Concept by Sasha Selipanov

What will Ferrari's planned 2012 replacement for the big 612 Scaglietti grand tourer look like? Berlin-based Sasha Selipanov, who calls himself the Angry Car Designer, has dreamed up one appealing possibility: a killer 612 GTO concept combining the sinuous lines of Ferrari's latest models along with a nod to the famed 250 GTO. Considering that Ferrari just unveiled its 599 GTO it's practically impossible that a 612 GTO could follow suit so quickly, if at all, but that doesn't stop Selipanov's project from being beautiful. He hasn't engaged in the usual concept car game of laying out engine specs and such or gassing on about quilted Alcantara seats; concentrating instead on gorgeously rendered lines. Feast your eyes and dream on.

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti by Novitec Rosso

At the very top of Ferrari's production range sits the 612 Scaglietti, a four-seat grand tourer that's in dire need of an attitude adjustment. In comes Novitec Rosso with its answer.

The Dutch tuning house is well known for its Ferrari modifications, but has limited the 612 mods to an engine-management upgrade, new wheels and some cosmetic enhancements. The result is a 30-horsepower boost to 560, dropping the 0-60 run down to 3.9 seconds and the top end to 202 miles per hour.

20-inch modular wheels and darkened indicator lights are also part of the package, and buyers can specify any number of interior upgrades as well. Have a closer look in the gallery below.
