Farm 21 Rye Straw Screen

A world away from the last screen I covered is this screen which brings together the rustic and the modern in a unique way. The screens from Farm 21 feature rye straw cast in resin and acrylic. The screen has three panels which creates a 70-inch high divider which is five feet wide. It sells for $6,000.
The design is just one of the designs from Sasha Sykes of farm21. She gets much of farm21's organic material (straw etc.) from her family's farm in County Carlow, Ireland. Her original concept of plexiglass cubes packed with various straws and mosses and flowers has been expanded into tables and lamps. Another interesting project involved a wood table which has an over half carat diamond in the center.
