Urban Outfitters usually sells trendy inexpensive items but the brand is taking off in a different direction with the launch of The Studio. The Studio is a jewelry section featuring trendy pieces by up-and-coming popular designers like Erika Pena, BJ by Jules, Calourette, Sabrina Dehoff, Lizzie Fortunato Jewels and Dara Ettinger. The prices are a bit more than you'd see at a usual Urban Outfitters, all the way up to $483 for the Lizzie Fortunato Jewels Daytime Escape Necklace, a multi-strand necklace of brass, sterling silver, gold plating, glass and cotton. The selection of rings on the site is particularly interesting, selections include Dara Ettinger's gold-plated, gemstone knuckle rings, Species by the Thousands animal rings, Calourette's enameled finger and animal head rings.[via The Frisky]
