This Fringed Suede Shoulder Bag by Emilio Pucci is an interesting way to incorporate vibrant jewel tones into your evening wardrobe. A little wintery for me right now but it still has a lot of charm, I'm especially loving the large goldtone plaque with fold-over clasp closure that looks like a larger version of what I used to have on a jewelry box as a kid. Other features include goldtone studs running down either side, long dangling suede fringe hanging off the bottom, and a signature black and white print lining on the interior. $1,705

No, it's not a space pod, it's the Bean Clutch by Emilio Pucci. I would say I love it except I know how I am about smooth shiny objects and frustrating smudges and fingerprint marks -- I'm personally better off with something in a glamorous matte finish. But if this clutch is your cup of tea more power to you (and I admit I'll be a little jealous). It's a hard-box clutch style with a silver tone frame and push-clasp closure. It opens on a hinge as you would expect (be careful not to let everything spill out!) and has the designers logo embossed on an interior as shiny as the exterior. $1,385

The main compartment is a round satchel with a drawstring closure via double straps in matching silk-print fabric and a silk lining.

I really like it except the mirror on the bottom concerns me -- it's attached to the bag and you have to tip the bag to use it. Won't that spill the contents all over the place? $1,495

This canvas bag in the familiar Montalban print may be a shopper, but it would also look great on the beach. A clutch is really the only acceptable handbag option when it comes to accessorizing a formal dress for a black tie event because large bags, regardless of how well they match, simply don't look as elegant as small bags do.
