Bad Luck Leads To Good Deals From Accidental Wine Company
Filed under: Wine
For the Accidental Wine Company someone else's mistake can be a big gain. The company buys up wine that has had a blemished label or other is not up for retail sale for some other reason like a misspelling on the label. Accidental Wine buys up the wine at a discount and then resells it online for a third to half off the price. The amount of savings can vary but recently a 2006 BR Cohn Olive Hill Cabernet Sauvignon which sells for $55 on the winery website was $38 on Accidental Wine. The wine company offers wine memberships based on price because you never know what you are going to get. The three levels are named after the company founders. A three-bottle set of David's Proclivity runs $26, Janice's Style is $67 and Micah's Indulgence is $101. In each of these tiers shoppers can pick whites or reds.
