This comfortable semi-glazed leather grain handbag comes from Cole Haan's Spectator Saddle Collection. No matter what goes inside the Denney Bag it is nicely packaged with narrow braided handles that slide through grommets along the top complete with end slide pockets with bit-detail. There are a few interior pockets to keep you organized and custom pale gold accents to give the bag a little subtle glamour. Cole Haan Suede Shoulder Bucket, Handbag of the Day

The leaves on the trees may have turned to red, yellow and gold, but this mossy green bag will warm things up nicely. What could be cozier than a soft suede bag trimmed in deep chocolate leather? This bucket-style bag has a simple adjustable shoulder strap and two smart-looking front pockets. Other than the brushed nickel hardware on the pocket trim and strap, the only embellishment to be found is the woven strip of leather up the front. With slim leather piping on the seams and a canvas lining, the bag features four interior accessory pockets and measures 16 ¼" L X 12" H X 5" D. $425.

Cole Haan - Paige Collection vs. Aerin Collection

While perusing through Cole Haan's site, I came across the Aerin Collection, their new collection for the Fall, which of course you can pre-order and receive by August 20th. What concerned me is that their Large Convertible Tote from the Aerin Collection (seen on the left) looks a lot like the Convertible Tote from their Paige Collection (seen on the right). Luxist featured the Paige Tote back in December 2006. And its an awesome bag, I use mine pretty much every day and it works well for traveling too. But why release the same back under a new name? If anyone knows the difference between these two bags please share because to me, they look exactly the same with the exception of one having a semi glaze finish and the other doesn't. And with a price difference of $25 and extra hoopla surrounding a new collection to arrive for the Fall, I wonder if this is a smart move on the part of the advertising & marketing team of Cole Haan? How can a company re-issue virtually the same bag and not think that customers will be upset and perhaps disappointed that the "new Fall Collection" is really a revamping of collections from the past? Perhaps it would have been better to actually feature a new collection with new designs. Just a thought.

Cole Haan Cassidy Air Boot

I am a glutton for red accessories - whether a bag, pair of shoes, a belt, rubies - I love them all. Not only are the Cole Haan Cassidy Boots ultra fashionable and sexy, without feeling like a lady of the night, but they feature Nike Air Technology to provide extra cushioning for your feet. Extra cushioning is always a good thing! Seen here in dark luggage (deep red) it is also available in black - but they don't seem to have the same wow factor as the red. Heel measurements: 3 1/2". Cole Haan Village Hobo, Handbag of the Day

This bag has a bit of a hippie vibe. From the Village Collection, the leather hobo sports a perforated, scrolled fern design on the front and and visible stitching all around. The back of the bag features a gold tone logo plaque and the interior is lined in natural canvas. With an inset zipper closure at the top, the bag also has all the necessary pockets: zip, patch and cell-phone. The whip stitched shoulder strap has a 10 inch drop and the bag itself measures a roomy 17 inches. On sale now for $237.

Cole Haan Vivian Hobo, Handbag of the Day

I've compared Cole Haan's woven leather looks to Bottega Veneta before and this latest hobo from the Vivian collection has a similar appeal but the uses of different styles of weaving creates a more distinctive style. This bag come in chocolate or natural and uses woven multi-color leather for a more casual look. It has a handwoven tassel detail, covered hardware in antique brass and a woven shoulder strap. The interior is lined in linen and has an cell and PDA pockets. It sells for $450.

The Large Drawstring Tote from Cole Haan is a great choice for a weekend bag, as it is more than large enough to hold a change of clothes for a quick overnight, though it will certainly work well as a casual day bag, as well. Made of soft leather in either burnt orange/tan (pictured) or black, the bag measures 20"W x 11"H x 8"D and has thick, flat shoulder straps that make it comfortable to carry. It has a drawstring at the top, as well as a small snap closure, and a fabric lining. Price: $425.

Cole Haan Large Paige Convertible Tote, Handbag of the Day

The deep bottle green color is what attracted me to Cole Haan's Large Paige Convertible Tote because it is fairly uncommon, with most designers favoring neutrals, blacks and other standards for their large bags. The bag is made of soft, supple leather and has shoulder strap that converts this from a day bag to one that is a little more convenient for traveling or just for carrying a laptop around. It has a magnetic snap closure at the top opening, just above the cinching belt, and two small zip pockets on the front in addition to several small interior pockets. The tote measures 17" L x 14 1/2" W x 6" D. Price: $425.

Cole Haan Wine Tote

The weave of this leather wine tote might have you thinking its a Bottega Veneta but it actually comes from Cole Haan's new gift collection. Their wine toe is created of woven milled vachetta leather with magnetic handles and artisan box stitch detail. It holds two bottles and can easily be flattened. The tote has a nylon lining and sells for $98.

Cole Haan Suede Baseball Jacket

Need a casual jacket for fall? Cole Haan's Suede Baseball Jacket seems perfect for keeping the chill off and looking sharp in general. The jacket is lightweight and made of soft, supple suede with an acrylic/cotton knit lining. It has a form-fitting, elegant cut that makes it suitable for general wear, as well as for wearing out to an informal dinner or to late night party, but it is kept from looking too dressy by the raw edges. The jacket zips up the front and has a barely-there collar. Honestly, it looks best when it is left open, but this is the kind of jacket that will be flattering to almost anyone. Price: $495.
