I'm all about the Christian Louboutin clutches lately and this one is no exception. The Maykimay Strass Clutch appears metallic at first glance and closer inspection reveals thousands of shimmering black diamond rhinestones. Very classic but certainly not understated, this clutch is the perfect answer to needing a neutral but not wanting to settle for boring. And since it's by Louboutin you'll be finding reasons all night long to look inside and have an excuse to use the miniature shoe zipper pull and flash the signature bright red interior lining. $2,625

Although this creation by Christian Louboutin is a handbag, the Loubinight Satin Clutch still manages to channel the high heeled shoes with signature red soles that he's so famous for designing. Bright, vibrant green satin on the outside and rich, 'signature red' satin on the inside, this clutch's most endearing feature is the darling pair of miniature crystal Louboutin heels (you can tell because they have red soles!) that stand on the bag's top and double as the clasp.
If you're one of those who just can't get enough shoes, then this is the perfect way to wear more than just one pair at a time. $960

Women's shoe designer Christian Louboutin may soon open shop in Dubai, according to the Khaleej Times. The designer's signature red-soled sky-high stilettos seem to fit right into the architectural and style-centered city. The designer says he has been scouting out possible locations in Dubai to appease his following there.
If he doesn't find suitable real estate soon, those in need of a boost might head to christianlouboutin.com, which is set to launch any day now. You can find the pair at right for $1,085 at Bergdorf Goodman.
Known for his red-soled stilettos, Christian Louboutin doesn't disappoint his devotees with a new season favorite, the Layered Leather Hobo. Created with armor-inspired, scalloped design of carefully stitched calfskin this hobo sports a trough in the middle enhancing the carrier's comfort. Available in signature black with red accents on the outer rings and inner, jacquard lining, this handbag has a zip top closure with signature pull, a 13.5" strap drop length and is available at Saks for $1,995. In a funny little way it reminds me of those little bugs in the garden that we used to call rolly-pollies -- I half expect the bag to roll up into a ball and protect itself from danger. (17" x 12" x 5 1/2")
I don't think I could necessarily carry this Cancan Feathered Clutch (it reminds me too much of something a Vegas dancer should be wearing on her head) but that doesn't mean it's not fashionable and fun for someone else to buy. This bag is perfect for bringing a little spice to an otherwise simple outfit. Available in black with purple or red details, it features a large satin bow on the front that you can hardly make out beneath all the feathers sticking whimsically in every direction. $1,215

At the Metropolitan Museum's star-studded Costume Institute Gala in Manhattan the other night, all the best-dressed men wore tuxedos by Tom Ford. While some fellows got creative with their black tie and others simply looked boring in notched lapel numbers, those who sported Ford's threads -- including Gisele Bundchen's football star beau Tom Brady, actors Djimon Hounsou and Jimmy Fallon, and A-list shoe designer Christian Louboutin -- were the evening's standouts.
Ford himself (pictured here with actress Natasha Richardson) went with a classic double-breasted dinner jacket with grosgrain lapels. Brady, Fallon and Louboutin all wore Ford's signature single-breasted peak lapel style; Brady and Fallon went the extra mile with matching waistcoats. Hounsou wore a black three-piece wool and cashmere suit which was equally elegant, as you'll see in the gallery below. Ford's suits start at about $5,000.
Christian Louboutin has finally launched their long awaited and much anticipated handbag line! Right out the gate, it's every bit as luxurious as their shoes. The Mini Aionoeud (..no idea how that is pronounced..) is an chic black alligator clutch bag with a large bow on the front. The inside is lined with red satin, cleverly symbolic of the bottoms of their shoes. It fastens shut with a hidden magnetic closure. I am eager to see how well this bag is received, it retails for $4,190. Available on net-a-porter.com.
The world's top fashionistas spend their lives designing things for other people, but they often reserve their true talents for themselves. A glimpse into their personal lives - and not in the tabloid sense - often reveals more about their real sensibilities and style than their runway creations, which are often masked by more commercial concerns.
Marie Bariller's gorgeous new book, Dressing the Home: The Private Spaces of Top Fashion Designers affords a rare glimpse at the interior lives (so to speak) of some of the biggest names in fashion. Included are two houses owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who wrote the introduction to the book, and who describe their aesthetic as "luxury that combines romanticism with irony, always executed with care and professionalism."
We also get to see where style stars like Christian Louboutin, Gilles Mendel, Jacopo Etro, Catherine Malandrino, Patrick Cox, Betsey Johnson, and Diane von Furstenberg, among others, hang their hats. As you might expect, they're pretty talented at dressing their homes as well.
One&Only has collaborated with designer Christian Louboutin and is now offering 3 new styles of his popular espadrille shoes. Called The Cataribbon (top left), The Tiburon (top right), and The Isabelle, each of the styles will be available in several colors and will only be found at One&Only resort destinations around the world -- plus a few will be sold in Louboutin's London and New York boutiques. Available this June for $375, these three are the just the first of Louboutin's designs for One&Only -- be watching for more styles due to come out in November.
Christian Louboutin, maker of the most fabulous shoes available, brings you these stunning Fontanete Platform Pumps. They're available in eye catching fuchsia (my fave) or demure taupe for a more subtle approach. Made of soft Nappa leather (which seems to be the must have material for summer 2008) and styled with side openings all the way to the top and gold metallic piping on the edges, the Fontanete is both elegant and stylish. Louboutins have a cushy padded insole, so your feet won't hate you at the end of the day. Available online, for $795.
Quite possibly the coolest shoe that Louboutin has ever made, the Mad Mary has arrived at Barneys and these are the shoes that everyone is talking about. Anything that has patent leather and studs gets my vote right away but combine that with a secret platform and pointy toe....I'm in love. These aren't as punk rock as they look, they're surprisingly wearable. Paired with your favorite jeans or your signature little black dress... as long as you don't pull a Britney and add torn fishnets, you should be fine! The best part is the signature Louboutin sole, it's so much more fun to kick up your heels when you're flashing bright red. Mad Marys cost $865 and are available online at Barneys.com
Looking for an excuse to go shoe shopping? (Who isn't?) Well the style section of this week's Sunday Times got pretty interesting for shoe lovers come page 7, where a full page spread advertised that designer Christian Louboutin himself would be hanging out at Saks to autograph shoes this Thursday, February 7th.
So if you get an awesome new pair of heels autographed, or maybe an old favorite (will he sign shoes that aren't newly purchased?), will you then wear them and risk ruining it? Maybe it's better to buy two pairs -- one pair just for the signature and the other to actually walk around in.
I can't tell whether a mannequin has lost its foot or if this is one of the more outrageous designs by Christian Louboutin. As it is so fittingly named, the Striped Ankle Boot is unique, to say the least, though I can't speak to its wearability. And not the wearability meaning relating to its durability after long periods of use, I mean the other kind of wearability - is a actual person able to wear them and not look crazy? I'm not too sure. Although not impossible, it's difficult to imagine what outfit is able to carry this one of kind pair of boots. Heel measurement: 4 ½". Price: $970.
Elegant without going over the top, these understated sling-back pumps from Christian Louboutin are a great piece
to add to your wardrobe before summer hits. The Suede
Cork-Heel Slings are a soft suede in a warm, earthy tobacco brown. The base and heel of the shoe, but not the soles,
are made of cork, which gives the pumps a natural, down-to-earth look but keeps them light on your feet. These pumps
don't have the same punch as, say, the black
Balenciaga platform pumps, but the sky high heels will still ensure that all eyes are on you - not just on your
shoes. Price
$670.
What are the top trends in
women's shoes this season? Think heels that are very, very high. Think wedges that tower. And think pointy heels
that are super-aggressive. But the look isn't all tough, with feminine touches like bows, ribbons and polka dots
softening the look for spring.
Look for plenty of fierce-looking, "Gladiator"-inspired footwear this
spring, including Alexander McQueen's leather strappy
sandal. Price: $695.
