Chloe Elsie Beaded Leather clutch

The Elsie Beaded Leather Clutch by Chloé is one of those beautiful bags that just doesn't get a fair rap in photos. Bright enough to rival the shimmer of gems and crystals this pretty clutch is covered on the front by gleaming gold beads in various sizes for a three dimensional, effervescent effect that looks a little like champagne in sculpture form. The look is interrupted only by the unique twist-lock fastening and Ecru leather flap. The back is also Ecru leather and it has a zippered top closure. Inside it's lined in nude leather and features an inner pouch pocket and hardware designer stamp. $2,195

Looking like a glammed-up briefcase or miniature suitcase the Pure Paddington Leather Tote by Chloé is simple, straight forward, and over-sized for maximum impact. The brand's redesign of their iconic bag comes in the form of smooth caramel leather, a very structured rectangular shape, and little else except a tiny gold padlock (and dangling key) that's stamped with the designer's logo. It does have double top handles with stud detailing and inside is one large open compartment along with a thin zippered one, and its fully lined in beige twill. $1,800

12 New Year's Eve Party Dresses

The Holiday Season is in full swing. Christmas is quickly approaching and before you know it, New Year's Eve will make its arrival. And you know what that means? The search begins, if it hasn't already, for the perfect dress to attend the world's ultimate party.

So what makes for the perfect dress? First off is comfort. If you don't feel comfortable and confident in what you are wearing, don't wear it. Even the most expensive dress by the best designer will not work if you don't feel comfortable. Second, forget the trends and wear a dress that works for your body. Find a complementing silhouette, color and length.

To help your quest for the right dress, we've searched and found a collection of some breathtaking and seductive dresses. We start with a gorgeous strapless party dress from Tracy Reese. The Curving Cloudcover Dress ($398) is made with various pieces of delicate chiffon that are layered together against a form fitting a-line silhouette. A dark color combination of black and grey with hints of sequins makes for a versatile dress that would complement all skin tones. Reese's elegant and ethereal dress is fashionable enough to be worn with minimal jewelry and sexy high-heeled patent leather pumps for a knock-out outfit.

The Chloe Paraty Medium Python Bag is great for those looking for a unique neutral to brighten up a fall ensemble. Off-white python and gold hardware give the paraty tote an exotic update. It looks like a fold-over flap style but that piped panel on the front doesn't move and there's actually just a simple zipper along the top for closure. Other features include turn-lock adjustable sides for extra room, wide double top handles, a detachable shoulder strap, and an interior lined in black cotton twill. A great way to carry an exotic skin this fall and year round. $3,795

Chloe Wrapped Strap Boot

I've got a severe soft spot for tall brown high heeled boots. Brown just seems to match with anything that you wear and adds softness and warmth when compared to black boots. Chloe's Wrapped Strap Boot ($1195) is definitely making my list of 'Desired Fall Purchases'.

Belts are minimally wrapped around the shaft against warm caramel colored leather and perfectly accented with a rusty orange leather strap at the top. The toe is a rounded square, allowing for some comfort, but with a 4 1/2" heel, this may not be the best for walking the streets all day. And unfortunately, there is no zipper (women need zippers for tall boots!) so these boots will be easier to put on for those with slender legs.

Chloe Punto Milano Pants

Chole's Punto Milano Pants unexpectedly infuse the casualness of sweatpants with trousers. While that description sounds pretty unflattering, creative designer Hannah MacGibbon, actually translates this look quite well into a wearable ensemble. Granted, it seems wearable for someone who is tall and pretty slim, but nonetheless, it is wearable.

The Punto Milano Pants ($1495) are made from a cashmere/camel/alpaca mix and features a ribbed high waist, harem style legs with ribbed banded cuffs. They look best with its matching jacket and then paired with a pale colored blouse, preferably something silky, as shown above. I love the contrast between a dressy material like silk against a casually styled suit. The whole outfit has a definite 70's chic vibe to it that celebrates a woman's seductiveness without putting her body on full display.

What a beautiful burnished pumpkin color this Chloe Marcie Leather Bag has, perfect for adding a dose of rich vibrance to your autumn wardrobe. Features include dark brown double top handles with twisted leather detail and a removable shoulder strap, stitch and tassel embellished flap on the front with a hidden welt pocket underneath, and piping accents. It also has an exposed zipper top closure and is fully lined in dark canvas. The designer named this color "whisky" but it looks much more like "fall harvest" to me. $1,650

The bright 'terracotta' red of this Chloé bag looks like the color of autumn maple leaves while the shape and style bring to mind a classic piece of small leather luggage. Features of the Darla Leather Tote include a fold-over flap top, buckled strap detail with buttoned pouch and key cover/key fob dangling down (the pouch is sooo cute!), twist-lock closure, a single brown leather top handle, another buckled strap on the top, zippered sides, protective metal feet, and a full black twill lining with a single interior zip pocket. $1,995

Dior Couture Pleated Dress

True fashion is timeless. When you find a piece that is a classic, the momentary trends take a back seat. You imagine yourself wearing this garment for years to come because you feel exceptional in it as it works with your body perfectly. We all have that one piece, and for the lucky ones a few pieces, which make you feel as though you have truly gotten your money's worth and then some. Take for example, Diane von Furstenberg's iconic wrap dress that was originally released in the 1970's and has maintained its appeal and wearability nearly 40 years later. Amazing!

Another dress to add to that list is the Dior Couture Ivory Dress ($2,976). It's exquisite! The Dior Dress could easily being seen on a celebrity walking the red carpet or for us non-celebrities attending a formal event. Michele Meunier and Olivier Chatnenet are the designers behind the Parisian label, E2, who have reworked this vintage Dior Dress making it wearable for today. The contrast between black and ivory make for a striking presentation. Overall, the dress exudes a delicate and ultra feminine feel with an empire waist, black lace along the neckline, and silk flowers along the sides and at the waist with numerous eyelets accentuating the panel belt all topped off with a black silk ribbon at the rear. Although this dress is a hefty investment, it's one that will last through generations.

Here's a bag that both looks 'traditional designer' with its fine sand colored lambskin leather (it also comes in black) and a little unusual with its unique details. The Ring Around Lambskin Hobo by See by Chloe is a structured style hobo, with the baggy slouchiness being somewhat contained the way the handle is formed. Features include resin bracelet details on each side of the straps and a big dangly star charm hanging from the zipper pull of the small front pocket, both of which give it a fun, relaxed, and very girly vibe. It's fully lined in pale dove gray and has one interior pocket. $590

I'm loving crochet this season, and although it has a tendency to look a little fallish and even wintery this version, by Chloé, is very spring and summer appropriate. The pretty ivory crochet of this Iris Strass Crochet Clutch is fitted over a hinged goldtone frame and features Strass Swarovski embellishments in a tight structured grid pattern for some defined but subtle glitz. A great tailored choice for accenting a neutral palette or adding contrast to a bright or jewel-toned summer ensemble.
