Charles Oudin Amazone Watch
An article on EuropaStar introduced me to the world of Charles Oudin watches. Oudin was an 19th-century watchmaker and today the Berthet family has carried on the Charles Oudin tradition. The watches are delicate confections of jewels placed in innovative ways. The watches have a naturalist theme and are done in platinum and gold with precious stones set by expert craftsmen. The latest collection is a look back at the past, honoring the artistry of the first elegant Parisian wristwatches. The Amazone watch shown here is a white gold watch with over 25 carats of diamonds, emeralds, pink and blue sapphires.
