Unique 150th Anniversary Heuer Watch Up For Auction

Bohnams auction house will offer this one-of-a-kind Tag Heuer Silverstone watch on the 15th of December 2010. Looks like they are starting to publicize it very early. The Silverstone watch is a retro re-release and this version is 150th anniversary (of Tag Heuer) that has Jack Heuer signature on the dial. Like classics from the brand, it has just "Heuer" as the logo. The brown dial with its uniquely shaped square cushion shaped case is matched to a perforated alligator strap, also in brown. Inside is a Swiss automatic chronograph movement. Tag Heuer collectors love Silverstone models, and the re-release of the watch has been a hit with fans of the brand. Feels like 1972 all over again right? While the watch is cool, it has mostly nostalgic value, and the fact that it is a totally unique watch (1/1 is engraved on the back). Bonhams estimates it will fetch between 6,000 - 8,000 British Pounds. Most of the money from the auction will go to the Green Cross International Charity - which is also supported by Tag Heuer brand ambassador Leonardo Di Caprio.
