First Audi R8 Sells For $500,000

Someone really decided they had to have the first 2010 Audi R8 V-10 available in the U.S. At the Boca Raton Concours d' Elegance this weekend, the first Audi R8 V-10 was auctioned off for $500,000. The car has a projected retail price of $180,000. Audi of America was so impressed with the interest in the first car that a second R8 V-10 was offered up and sold that evening. The first Ferrari California also sold for $350,000 (its sticker price is $225,000). Howie Mandel hosted the auction which ended up raising over $1 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, Florida.

10-powered Audi will in fact be making it Stateside, probably sometime next year. Considering that
