Belvedere Vodka Silver Ltd. Edition

Belvedere, the all natural super premium vodka from Poland, has come out with a limited edition silver bottle for the holidays perfect for gift giving or festive occasions.

Available only until the New Year, the Belvedere Silver bottle features the brand's signature design set against a mirrored background for a modern, celebratory look.

Using only Dankowskie Gold Rye grown solely in the sweeping plains of Poland's Mazovia region, water from a pristine artesian well, and a proprietary purification process, Belvedere is distilled four times to uncover the vodka's strength of character.

The preciseness of the distillation process allows the distinctive notes of the vodka to come through without stripping away the subtle nuances, resulting in a smooth, creamy, peppery taste with a clean finish.

The limited edition Belvedere Silver bottles are available in four sizes: 375 ml, 750 ml, 1 litre and 1.75 litre, with the 750 ml size retailing for $35.

Belvedere's New IX Vodka, Inspired by the Night

Belvedere is introducing a new super-premium vodka made with nine special ingredients created to "embody the spirit of the night." Belvedere IX (right), which comes in glam-punk style black and pink graffiti-tagged bottle, will initially be available only in select nightclubs.

IX's nine key ingredients are ginseng, guarana, acai, ginger, sweet almond, jasmine, eucalyptus, cinnamon, and black cherry, "blended seamlessly to create a warm and enlivening note on the nose." The ingredients are individually distilled in micro-batches before being expertly blended with 100 proof Belvedere Vodka and artesian water.

IX is described as "bold and intricate with uplifting sweet spice followed by invigorating ginger warmth," and "smooth yet intense, with menthol complexity tempered by sweet almond and jasmine undercurrents," finishing with "a characteristic Belvedere flourish of vanilla and white pepper."

The bottle's distinctive design is the result of a collaboration with artist and fashion designer Andre Saraiva. It's inspired by Saraiva's iconic graffiti seen on the streets of Paris since the late 1980s. Described by Sam Keller, director of Art Basel Miami Beach, as a "social alchemist," Saraiva also co-owns Paris' Le Baron nightclub.

If regular Belvedere isn't quite strong enough for you you can soon test your mettle with Belvedere Intense, a new luxury 100 proof vodka. Belvedere Intense will sold at international airports including London Heathrow Terminal 5, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Warsaw Frederic Chopin, Hong Kong International, Singapore Changi, Sydney, New York JFK and Buenos Aires Ezeiza and sells for 45 euros. It's described as having notes more often associated with whisky such or cognac such as "crème caramel, dark savoury spice, and rich bitter chocolate." Most Expensive Zip Codes: 94920, Estate of the Day

For the next couple of weeks we will be checking out some homes in the most expensive zip codes in the United States, up today, 94920 . This zip code is in the Bay Area of Northern California encompassing Tiburon and Belvedere. This wealthy seaside enclave has a median price of $2,192,000 and a healthy appreciation rate of 282% since 1990. We've highlighted a variety of homes in the area before including the Belvedere home belonging to businessman Tom Perkins and Andre Agassi's Tiburon estate.

Tiburon incorporates most of the TIburon Peninsula in Marin County, California and the city of Belvedere occupies the south-east part of the peninsula. The most expensive estate in this zip code is an 8.5 acre estate listed at $38.5 million. The home I chose for today's example is a less pricey but very charming. The compound on the water includes a main house and a two-bedroom guest house, a smaller one-bedroom boat house and there is a one-bedroom, one-bath au pair suite above the three-car garage. The home with gorgeous seaside views is listed at $11.5 million.

Tableside Ice Picking With the Jagger Dagger

Belvedere vodka has been doing a lot of promotion lately to build their brand. The latest is the Jagger Dagger, a sword designed by Jade Jagger, Mick's daughter and creative director at Garrard. The sword has an 18K white gold studded hilt with 12 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, 42 pale sapphires, and a central blue lapis lazuli square. The blade is created from mirror-polished carbon steel with an engraving of the same tree branches that decorate the Belvedere bottle. The "Jagger Dagger" will be part of an tableside ice-picking service with the sword provided by servers at certain nightclubs such as 1OAK in New York, Crystal in London, and VIP in Paris. Each dagger has a retail value exceeding $250,000. A range of daggers in the same style but with white topaz in lieu of diamonds and aquamarine instead of sapphires will sell for $10,000 at certain retailers.

Belvedere Launches Online Drink Buying Program

Belvedere Vodka has been trying to go for the cutting edge lately. First there was the racy ad campaign with art photographer Terry Richardson, shown at left, now the company is launching a new branded gift card program with BuyYourFriendADrink.com. This is the first time that a spirits brand has offered a branded gift card for on-premise purchase through the company. The way it works is that you visit the BuyYourFriendABelvedere.com website and purchase a gift card for any dollar amount. The recipient can redeem the gift card or a Belvedere drink at participating bars and restaurants. Of course it does require knowing the email of the person you want to give the drink to so it's not so great for sending a drink to that hot stranger across the room.

Tom Perkins Estate, Estate of the Day

We are already familiar with Tom Perkins because of his amazing yacht, the Maltese Falcon. Perkins reportedly sold his Bugatti to finance the yacht, now the businessman has put his beautiful Belvedere, California home on the market. This home was built by Julia Morgan and George Kelham in 1928 for W.M. Stevenson. It has a French manor style with a European feel that includes lots of carved oak details that can almost distract you from the amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The formal dining room includes a 17th Century Flemish Tenier tapestry, the library has a fireplace and a hidden wet bar and the upper floor is home to the master suite which includes the bedroom with a Tudor oak headboard carved for a royal couple circa 1556. Other features include a large entertainment room with a full kitchen, a full service bar, a temperature controlled wine cellar and a French door opening onto a stone terrace and to the pool, a maid's quarter with a full bath off the entertainment room and a three car garage with additional parking spaces in the gated motor court. The lot also has a pool and a pool house, rose gardens, temperature controlled greenhouse, level lawns, stone paths, terraces, vegetable gardens and mature trees, flowers and fruit trees. Many of the home's furnishings are also available for purchase. It is listed at $20.5 million. After the jump, only a boat as amazing as the Maltese Falcon could tear a man away from a house like this.
