I adore the fragrances of Annick Goutal (especially Eau d'Hadrien) and so I am intrigued by their skin care line. The Creme Splendide is the first day cream to incorporate active rose sap. It also has vitamins A, E, C and B5, calcium and magnesium, to moisturize and boost radiance. The cream leaves behind a subtle scent of roses and the greener scent of rose sap. It also comes in a Genereuse formula which contains Mimosa Tenuiflora, macademia and jojoba oil and is designed for sensitive and dry skin. Both sell for $140 each at Barney's along with other products in this line.

Annick Goutal Songes

Now Smell This reviews a fragrance I've been most curious about, the latest from Annick Goutal. Songes was inspired a trip that Camille Goutal took to Mauritius. The fragrance, created with Isabelle Doyen, is meant to evoke a romantic, tropical night thick with heady scent. Songes uses Frangipani, Absolute of Ylang-Ylang, Absolute of Jasmine and Absolute of Vanilla. Robin from Now Smell This reports that it is sweet and strong but not too overpowering. After a first burst of jasmine, frangipani and gardenia it resolves into a soft white floral with slightly woody notes. It's set to launch here in the U.S. next month. I can't wait to get my paws on this one.
