March LA.B AM Series Watches

New watch brand March LA.B in the house. I like the clever name, at least the latter part of the name "lab" makes pretty much anything sound cool. Like guys in white coats with serious looks on their faces are designing the things. Well here it has a little double meaning due to the "." in the middle of it. As the brand hails from both Los Angeles and Biarritz France, you get that LA + B approach to the name. Among the three lines they have, the AM Series is the nicest. Seen here are just three of the versions. Designs hearken back to the 1960s, but also have a certain modern feel to them. Classy, but not boring, with enough of a design edge to satisfy most people. A good department store brand, as they aren't going to be too expensive (though I don't have specific prices yet).

In steel, the 37mm wide cases are also offered with PVD gold coating. Water resistant to 100 meters, the crystals are mineral, but with that Sapphire coating that is popular these days. Inside the watches is a Swiss Ronda 517 day/date movement. Leather straps come in various textures, and there are steel bracelets available as well. I do like that signature green seconds hand. At 37mm wide, these aren't exactly big watches. On the lower side of medium actually. But March LA.B regards them as being unisex in style, so they are great for women and children, and men who haven't gotten on board the larger watch bandwagon.
