Eco-Friendly Vodka Launches Cola and Chocolate Flavors

Just when I think that there are no more flavors that can be done for vodka a new one comes along. We've covered eco-friendly vodka brand 360 Vodka before but now the brand has branched into flavors, launching cola and double chocolate flavors. The new vodkas are 70 proof and the bottles have the same look as the original with 85 percent recycled glass and a unique closure. Both vodkas use natural flavorings. The cola vodka is dark with caramel color while the double chocolate is clear. Drinkhacker recently took a spin with both flavors and ranked them as B+. The bottles sell for $20 each so it's worth a try if you are curious.

360 Vodka, Drink the Vodka Save The World

The spirits industry, like other industries, is realizing the value of going green. A new eco-friendly vodka has been launched by McCormick Distillery which is, as Rick Dobbs of Martini Lounge, points out, the company behind the well vodka at many bars and restaurants. 360 vodka is 80 proof and will use an eco-friendly packaging program. The bottle uses 85 percent recycled glass with a unique closure that looks a little like the Grolsch beer bottle. McCormick will also set aside $1 for every closure returned to the "360 Close the Loop Program" to recognized environmental organizations. Also all the packaging and print materials associated with 360 Vodka are produced in an environmentally friendly manner. And as Rick also mentions, not much is mentioned in the press release about the taste. The website reveals that it is quadruple distilled and filtered five times but not if the grain used is organic or what water is used. Also there is no word on price yet.
