Mercedes-Benz Adds AMG Sports Package To New E-Class
Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

Sometimes, it's enough for a luxury car to just look fast. For those that couldn't care less about what's underhood, Mercedes-Benz is making an AMG sports package available on any E-Class sedan. The AMG kit for MB's latest midsize model, which was just debuted at a private event at the Detroit Auto Show, will cost between 2915 and 4046 euros ($3,750 to $5,200), depending on which of the E's available engine's is chosen.
Included in the AMG sports package are new front and rear aprons along with a set of side skirts that visually lower the car on its custom 18-inch alloy wheels, aided in no small part by the 15mm drop in ride-height. Inside, seats sewn from microfiber and "man-made leather" upholstery locate the driver behind an nappa leather 3-spoke AMG sports steering wheel equipped with shift paddles. Expect the new E-Class sedan to hit the European market in March.
