Can you believe that is has been 40 years since the making of the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey? TIme flies as the saying goes but one piece of time, in the form of a watch used in the movie, is making a return. The Hamilton X-01 is based on the original Hamilton commissioned by the makers of the film in 1966. The new version uses a central automatic (base ETA 2824) movement and 3 separate ETA quartz modules for HomeTime, DreamPlaceTime and GMT. The large case, in titanium, measures 55mm x 36mm x 28mm. The crystal is sapphire and the watch comes in a limited edition of 2,001. The watch sells for $1,250.
