Nov 16th 2007 2:34PM Clearly, BlackPlanet is not a new age in social networking.. like Karsh noted, BP has been around for almost a decade and still has about 1 million members. That hasn't changed much in at least 2-3 years, the last time I checked in on BP.
Is there a place for these sites? Definately. Has their value and identity been fully realised (read: commoditized)? Definately not. But then again, when has a minority group's economic potential been fully realized in the media marketplace? BET? MTV Tres? Any others...

103" Plasma TV Update {Luxist}
Jul 20th 2006 8:45AM #2 -- Sounds like you had a bad experience. I've had a plasma for almost 4 years now .. no problems. HOWEVER, I was fortunate enough to RESEARCH enough -- which a lot of people don't do -- and stayed AWAY from Sony. The research paid off - some friends I know informed me that Sony was getting out of the plasma business. How true that is, i haven't discovered. But they never were any good at plasmas anyway, even when i was looking to buy. They were overpriced, relatively featureless ... and overpriced.
Another thing -- where'd you get a 32" plasma from anyway? 99% of the time the begin at 42". If you wanna stick with Sony (seems like you do) make sure you buy what they're good at... traditional 'tube' TVs and maybe a few LCDs.
