Jul 12th 2008 12:15AM We had plenty of dachsies, and they are not mean, but the majority of them don't take any guff (especially the smooth-haired variety).......lol! The wire-haired and long-haired ones are less temperamental. They are fine with children, as long as they are not allowed to tease them too much. Wonderful dogs with nice personalities.
