Sep 22nd 2010 12:22AM I absolutely agree. Jail won't help her one bit. She needs to be in a residential treatment center for a year, preferably with a Christian-based program. She needs to realize that there is someone outside herself who is bigger and stronger than her who can help her; all she has to do is ask. I've seen such treatment facilities and they have the best "success" rates in the country. By "success", I mean that the patient has been clean for a year. I don't know the program methods at Betty Ford but I've heard that it a wonderful facility.

My cat knows that she'll get some treat pellets in the morning and just a few in the evening. I don't know when she learned to read the clock but, by golly, she knows when to start begging me for her treat. That loud "meow"ing will eventually drive a person to either drink or give in. I give in.

Mar 5th 2010 7:28AM I don't see your problems with Rick Sanchez. He was just trying to pin down that scientist and get him to clarify what he was saying. In other words, "Does this equal that?" The answer, finally, was no...that just because there'd been a 27 ft. drop in the ocean, it would not result in 27 ft. waves hitting Hawaii. People are so justifiably terrified of tsunamis that the people we see on TV news have to speak accurately!

Nov 21st 2009 7:57PM This is a classic case of "you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't..." luckydavis641, you have absolutely no right to sit in judgment of the Cyrus family. You don't know what they've done out of the public eye due to their bus driver's death and you don't know what they have yet to do! Did you even consider that perhaps the Cyruses don't want their actions or reactions to be made a big deal of for the public? You know, Jesus had nothing kind to say to the church's big shots when they made a public display out of their tythes. As a matter of fact, He told them that they had already received their just reward right here on earth because they were seeking and had received public recognition for their actions; however, He said that the woman who quietly went in and gave her last little bit of money to the synagogue "in secret" would receive her reward in Heaven! Do you see now why the Cyrus family hasn't made a big display out of what they've done, nor what they plan to do, because of the bus driver's death? The Cyruses are Christians and I'm sure God is pleased over the fact that, following Jesus's lead, they've done their good deeds quietly and "in secret." Not that it matters, but I'm proud of them too.

Although I'm sure this woman will be inundated with letters, calls and even visits from money-hungry lawyers who will try to talk her into suing, I hope she keeps her wits about her and rejects their efforts. These little creatures (frogs, not lawyers) are found naturally in produce and this one survived processing. Good for the frog!
