Feb 3rd 2011 3:52PM okay, if those photos from Spectacular Bid's link are from 1990 . . . they haven't updated the decor in . . . 11 years?

Feb 3rd 2011 3:44PM One of the best parts about Monticello is the view so its nice to see that this house has a view too. Love the terraced area.
I don't care for the orphaned stove in the kitchen - always nice to have some place next to the stove to set hot stuff down on. The bedrooms look small but that's probably typical for the house's era. No pictures of bathrooms makes me suspect that they are small/outdated.
If I were the homeowners/agents/stagers I would give serious consideration to removing half the side tables in that living room and do something about that bed/door situation in the 4th photo from the bottom.
Strange that they decluttered the kitchen (to an extreme!) and left all that personal art/knick knacks in the other public rooms. The roosters gotta go.

Jan 25th 2011 2:24PM I would really love to see this house re-photographed. Almost every shot has a focal point that is 3-4 feet above where a person would naturally rest their eyes. Look at the bedroom photo with the white coverlet -- the camera was focused at the far corner above the bathroom door like the photographer was pointing the camera up instead of holding it level or as if the person is 4 ft tall.
Kind of distracting.
Other than that - it's kind of tastefully blah.

Nov 30th 2010 4:38PM two bathrooms for the master bath? I'd rather have the extra closet space. Do not like the tiny (seeming) doors into the kitchen and how the family room is a dead end space.

Oct 25th 2010 3:22PM I'd love to know the thinking behind the display case; hopefully that room is near the movie theater. The property behind the house looks like swamp land - I wonder what the mosquitoes are like?
Finally, too much pink! The photos read (on my monitor anyway) the pink as various flesh tones. kind of creepy actually.

Oct 17th 2010 8:56AM I don't understand why the seller has the same picture over two different couches in what appears to be two different rooms; seems really odd (Is the seller the subject of the artwork? If so, that's too egotistical even for an actor!)
These pictures look so bad because there was no attempt at staging. They need to clean off the kitchen counters and put away the overabundance of personal items. The way this place looks, you get the feeling that several real estate agents have told the seller to stage the place but he has resisted all efforts because he's living there and still has "it's my house" syndrome. Doesn't he watch any of the house selling shows?
The wall paint is 'bachelor pad era 1993" especially that horrific red in the gym -- all that equipment needs to go unless it conveys with the house. The patio furniture also needs to go. I'd like a better picture of the mirror and vanity in the bedroom - they look kind of orange which doesn't match anything else in the bedroom.
Those heavy brown curtains in the bedroom seem to be hiding something - a bad view? Nasty windows? Whatever the problem is, the room would photograph better with some natural lighting -- as it is, it looks like a the set for a bad porn movie.
