Keyport Slide review {Engadget}

Honda's fix for prematurely dying Civic hybrid batteries hurting fuel economy, performance? {Autoblog}

Aug 16th 2010 12:14PM It is the heat that is killing them. One summer I left my 03 civic parked outside for 2 days, and sure enough the heat killed the batteries. They tried a re-flash, a few days later the IMA light was back on along with the Check engine light. Honda replaced the battery that time for free.

The issue now is with the 2nd gen owners they are probably less careful about parking the car outside and not in the shade hence more dead batteries.

There needs to be a cheap after-market batt back solution soon.
