Dec 25th 2010 1:49PM A very cute story for this time of year. And, as an oldie, I admit I also like the "Charlie Brown lights," but as a young man I wouldn't have jettisoned a young lady if she liked the smaller versions of Christmas lights. (On the other hand, when I was a young man, there weren't smaller versions!)
Dec 20th 2010 4:50PM Thanks for reminding me about using the postage paid return envelopes stuffed with junk. I think I'll start doing that again.
Dec 8th 2010 10:17AM "Unbelievable.
At what point will people simply get fed up with the "politically correct" whiners that stagnate communication between adults. I, for one, am getting sick of having to watch everything I say as to not offend, or more properly, fuel, some idiot's "cause" so that they can push their point. He is an adult, and was joking around with adults. There were no racial slurs, political humor, etc., and it didn't involve the children. Get over it.
I hope he sues the heck out of Macy's for this. Vote with your wallet and avoid Macy's until this situation is properly resolved."
Jim, I'm copying your post, because it's exactly as I feel. Unbelievable!
Nov 18th 2010 11:16PM Cannot for the life of me understand why there are so many "reality" shows. I hate them."
I can tell you why. They get decent ratings in relation to the cost of producing them. In other words, they make more money for the networks.
Nov 18th 2010 11:09PM I don't know what to make of this: I was always a Leno guy, but now I watch Letterman. And I don't know why, which is what is strange. Part of it may be that I usually watch Craig Ferguson after Letterman, I suppose. All this haggling did turn me off. I don't know how the ratings have settled in as far as the "big guys" go. I'm guessing Letterman, Leno and Conan, in that order
Oct 20th 2010 12:58AM Tom, and Jerry Orbach, are two of my favorite TV actors of all-time. Both will be missed by their many fans.
Oct 17th 2010 9:27AM Amusing to see a Vegas promo ad on the same page as Vegas getting ripped as not worth the trouble to see! Also agree with some of the comments about Mt. Rushmore. As an end destination it might not be worth the trip, but the surrounding sites and attractions make it a nice trip.
Oct 7th 2010 11:33AM This is so obvious, it's pathetic. I'm not a gold-digger, folks. I want Mel in my baby's life so obviously I'm a good, forgiving woman. I just wanted those millions of dollars so I could get on with my life.
Oct 6th 2010 12:05PM Can't possibly know what went on just by this story. It does seem to me that, judging by the harsh way the couple was treated, that the shipping company was pretty certain of its stand. Can you imagine treating rich, "valued" customers like this without good reason?
Sep 19th 2010 11:58AM I've always considered Glacier National Park one of the major attractions in the park system. Am I wrong? Plus there's another national park nearby along the Canadian border (sorry, can't remember the name right now). It's a beautiful area.
