yes go to the Humane society and ask the vet the chances he has to live with help. Then make a good dicssion.
I lost a greyhound I watched be born I was the first to hold him, he had an enlarged tongue, and a pariot mouth, therfore he could not nurse his mother. I had to bottle feed him with a baby bottle and burp him, wash him off, he was a newborn baby and was treated as such. He started whinning all the time and I took him to the vet, the vet told me his liver was failing that he had no chance of living. I just couldn't put him down. He lived for about 2 weeks in bad pain, the night before he died he vomited old blood all over my sofa where he always laid. The next morning he passed. What I am getting at is please do not do what I did. Do not let your beloved live in pain.

May 25th 2010 8:31AM Goodness. Well I don't understand why the pure breeders aren't throwing a fit. I know that these people spend a lot of money ensuring thier breed is the best. My biggest fear with this AKC is that there may be more breeding done to find the "right" mixed breed or hines 59 as I call them. Don't get me wrong I have 2 pure breed and 1 mixed breeed. And I love them all 3 very much and we spend as much on one as we do the other. No special treatment in my house.

May 2nd 2010 11:46PM Yes, I know what you mean K. My daughter-in-law( during her last pregancy) Was hypoglucenic (not spelled right). So now her daughter is 2 years old and the dietician told her that her daughter could be dietabic. So she will not let her child hvae candy cause this women told her the candy will cause hyperglucemic. This is stupid and I told her this but she won't listen.
