Ellen's Montecito Mansion, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Apr 4th 2007 9:02PM It is lovely but somewhat cold looking with all the white. Looks like it was painted "spec vanilla" for resale. I cannot imagine upping the price that much after six months and someone willing to buy it for that much increase unless they want to say they bought the house Ellen Degeneres lived in. (I wonder if she actually lived there.) Ellen is known for liking to flip houses and she has been quite successful doing so. Probably will be again cause someone will want it. My impression of Ellen was that she was an "aw shucks" kind of girl but she obviously is pretty good at that simple image stuff while living in the land of grandeur. I agree with another comment that the guest house is where I would want to live - it looks much more lovable.
