Nov 1st 2010 7:36AM the theory that girls who live with men (step fathers, mom's boyfriend, non-realtives) who are not their biological fathers/do not share any genetics kick-starts puberty early makes a lot of sense, too ... think cave-man/primal survival stuff ....

Jun 4th 2010 8:11AM .. i believe stimulating the problem areas by massage is really what makes a difference, regardless of what you use (your hands or device) and having a topical that protects against friction while you are massaging ... decades of "cures" all have the same common thread = massage ...

Should overweight passengers pay extra for airline tickets? {Gadling}

Dec 11th 2009 9:27AM Let's say i have a vision problem and leave the details of "how" this came to be my personal issue out for the moment.

Let's all agree it's not my fault im nearsighted. That's just my personal "handicap", don't judge. So should the world accomodate me by changing the lettering on all public signs to be super huge so that i can comfortably read them? No. what i need to do is to get myself some glasses and manage my "handicap" appropriately. The world doesn't need to accomodate my short-comings, physical or otherwise. The mindset of feeling that you are owed something for your misfortune keeps your personal situation unfortunate = you are getting in your own way.

If i complain or demand loudly enough will the public pick up my bill for the eye doctor? how about paying for my glasses? Enlarge all the street signs? NO? Correct. That would be insane.

Regarding this issue of flying, the mechanism in people's thought process that makes them feel entitled to be accomodated for their size, free of charge = free of personal responsibility as well, is beyond what is practical for the common good. It is exactly the same as me demanding that lettering on street signs, etc, be enlarged for me to read comfortably . Tolorance and Compassion, yes. Understanding, yes. Being responsible for yourself and your own shortcomings is being a functional grown-up in life.

And "yes" my 20 lb bingo wing threatening to fall into someone's else's personal space while flying is my personal shortcoming to manage - i don't feel i am entitled to impose my 'handicap' on anyone else - in fact, it's the opposite. I am the one who is RESPONSIBLE to the rest of the world to manage myself. No one 'owes' it to me to tolorate my size, or my physical presense in their space, no more than i would tolorate a stranger sitting next to me deciding to rest their head on my shoulder while flying. It's invasive beyond what should be normally tolorated by the general public.

. I'm the one who is overweight and I am grossed out for the people in 'threat' of my body parts invading their personal space. That would be wrong.

Also, Airlines are in business for profit. They are not government funded public transporation = they can, as a business, elect to be charitible. I feel larger sized people should pay for extra seating until such a time as the airlines elect to change the interiors of their aircraft. If you feel that your personal physical size should be accomodated and the airlines have an obligation to do so, let them know via your wallet/business.

Searching for a Cellulite Treatment? {AOL Hot Searches}

Jun 1st 2008 6:42PM ...BEEEEEEEEE CAREFUL with procedures like "vela -smooth" and deep tissue massaging spa-sevices that require electronic devices (vs. hands-on massaging) ... im 5'5", 116lbs mother of 4 ("yes" skinny people get cellulite too ..) and last summer had 8 sessions done on my thighs - looked absolutely flawless after the 2nd session- great bikini season - fast forward to today, i have "elephant" skin over my knees as a result of an all-over hanging effect from loose skin on my thighs where the procedure was done - too much intense skin pulling perhaps? i believe the 'bands' of the connective tissue were pulled, damaged & broken (see: broken capilaries on thighs as well) and now im left, perhaps, facing a laser to tighten the skin back up (more controlled 'wounding') - what a mess! ... REAL BUMMER & im regretful ... so for the cellulite, i'd say it worked really well and really temporarily, but at what cost to the skin itself? make sure your doctor examines the condition of your skin to see if you're a candidate - not worth "one" bikini season to live with permenant damage ... WEAR SUNBLOCK!!!
